Job Summary/Overview

The Sales Consultant is responsible for developing and closing new business within a regional market.  Building referral relationships, hunting for new businesses within an unsaturated market as well as closing smaller accounts in established territories is required.  This position is responsible for maintaining high activity volumes of organic leads. 


Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Serve as the Sales Consultant for assigned small business markets and verticals across the US
• Initiates business through sourcing and qualifying customers
• Maintains required activities levels on a regular basis
• Communicated clearly and honestly to clients with strong written and oral communications
• Quantifies benefits for customers using financial concepts
• Meets or exceeds sales goals and drives value for the customer
• Collaborates with colleagues and promotes a supportive environment
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.

Job Requirements & Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree desired; or equivalent education and/or related work experience.


• 3 – 5 years working with a B2B inside sales team
• Experience selling in SaaS, HRO, Cloud, ERP, HRIS, technology or financial services preferred
• Proven ability to influence C-level executives and drive new business
• Have consistently met or exceeded business goals while focusing on driving value for the customer
• Strong phone based selling skills
• Experienced with Salesforce.com or comparable CRM and Microsoft Office Suite
