The Marketing Intern – Marketing Operations internship is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and understanding of marketing data. The intern will have exposure to the marketing team and processes that add value to the operations of our core business. This person will develop core skills needed to achieve a successful career in marketing and will gain hands-on experience with common business tools and systems such as Eloqua and Salesforce.com. We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive and detail-oriented student to assist the TriNet Marketing Operations team. This intern will leave with a solid understanding of marketing operations, data, marketing tools such as Salesforce.com and Eloqua, reporting and analytics.


• Monitor and maintain data quality within the marketing database (net new and existing database).
• Execute the process of creating, testing and deploying emails through the marketing automation system (Eloqua) for both marketing communications and client communications.
• Manages marketing lists and data by ensuring leads are properly tagged to campaigns, assigned to appropriate owners and data is uploaded and updated in a timely manner to drive lead generation.
• Create lists from both the marketing automation system (Eloqua) and CRM (Salesforce) to assist with campaign promotions.
• Works with other team members to pull reports on data quality, email analytics and lead flow.
• Additional duties may be assigned at managers discretion.


Education: Working toward a college major in marketing, communications or business with a minimum 3.0+ GPA

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): None

• 0 year marketing experience

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to take initiative and perform follow up
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks at once
• Enjoys working in a high pace, high energy position
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Work and PowerPoint)
