Building our Data Governance platform, you will be at the intersection of data, systems, and people. This a critical role in TriNet’s data transformation roadmap and we are searching for a candidate with the requisite technical skills and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders across the enterprise. They will need to be comfortable designing, developing, testing, deploying and documenting data flows, procedures and outputs. In addition, you will need to document at a functional level how load processes and procedures work within the data management applications and tools. The selected candidate will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to onboard critical data assets and establish relevant processes with the ultimate goal of making it easier for teams across TriNet to find, understand, trust, and access the data they need. You will leverage your skills and knowledge to help establish our data governance practices and enhance data-driven business performance and compliance. The selected candidate will gather requirements around master data management rules and propose the optimization of these rules if applicable, then design and develop these rules within our tools. In addition, they will support data stewards through education and facilitation of data issue resolution.

• Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company’s principal information assets
• Assists with establishing and continuously develops the Data Steward capability ensuring key business areas are properly represented in the Data Stewardship community
• Coordinates and leads Data Stewardship meetings to drive data standards and policies
• Supports Data Stewardship community for data management analysis and problem management activities
• Develops and maintains an onboarding process for newly enrolled Data Stewards
• Helps develop Data Stewardship policies and KPIs to be vetted by the Data Office
• Supports the learning and discovery of data management standards, processes and technology by sharing best practices with others for the efficient use of data management processes and technologies
• Builds, maintains, and continuously improves data management training and communication materials
• Supports projects at both the department level as well as company-wide initiatives; collaborates with stakeholders during data sourcing process
• Streamlines Data Stewardship processes and work flows to increase efficiency
• Develop & maintain inventory of the enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems, owners
• Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise
• Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
• Other job duties as required

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or other Technology field preferred

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):
• N/A
• 1-3 years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Business Intelligence, or Data Analysis
• 1-3 years of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
• Prior experience with Informatica Data Management products (specifically Axon, EDC, DPM) preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
• Knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection management practices
• Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
• Experience with data lineage, data cataloging, and/or data policy implementation
• Experience with data analysis/BI tools such as Qlik, MicroStrategy, or Tableau
• Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and best practices for metadata, data quality, and data stewardship
• Working knowledge of Big Data, Data Lakes, and the Hadoop ecosystem
• Experience with data profiling or defining data quality rules
• Experience with data modeling, data structures and analyzing those to identify patterns or information
• Experience writing/editing internal communications or training-related materials in a corporate environment
• A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
• Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
• Experience in data models and reporting packages
• Ability to analyze large datasets
• Some knowledge of SQL and Excel
• Understand the basic principles of Data Visualization.
