Job Summary/Overview:

The Specialist II, supports compliance and reporting with the required state agencies. The Specialist II, also supports the client experience by streamlining and automating the onboarding process Unemployment Taxes. 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Requests client information from various state agencies for UI tax accounts.
• Ability to review and audit process documents for quarterly updates 
• Enhance relationships with state agencies.
• Ability to audit client rates from various state agencies. 
• Ability to follow up with state agencies regarding client account access.
• Process client’s UI rates in timely manner.
• Ability to adhere to all Metric goals. 
• Upload documentation into the document repository
• Supports the Client Reporting Team in the ability to accurately remit quarterly Unemployment filings
• Process Client terminations with various state agencies.
• Follows up on uploads from various teams that drive client onboarding and process existing client transactions
• Learn the TriNet culture, policies and procedures, and trouble-shooting requirements to be able to help with internal customers
• Ability to navigate web-based state government systems to register clients for unemployment insurance accounts
• Moderate knowledge of state rules and regulations for client unemployment accounts.
• Work with state agencies to resolve issues with client UI accounts.
• Notify leadership of changes communicated by state agencies
• Cross-train with other departments to learn full scope of TriNet Payroll and Tax functions
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
Education: Associates Degree in finance or-related field desired, or equivalent education and/or related work experience
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) Preferred
Experience: 2 - 4  years’ experience in a tax compliance or related field
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Moderate customer service skills for internal and external clients
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with several departments. Consistent and sustained quality in data entry and client communication is expected
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to problem solve on a high level.
• High commitment to professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
• Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workflow
• Ability to audit documentation provided by external clients
• Moderate Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge 
Work Environment/Other Details:
Some overtime may be required as projects dictate
