JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW
The Sr Pricing Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of TriNet’s professional services pricing strategies to achieve corporate revenue, retention and profitability targets. Partner with Product Managers, Sales and Service leaders, Finance, and Technology to define strategies and develop and implement tools, models, and processes to optimize prices across assigned products and customer segments. Foster a proactive, continuous improvement pricing mindset by implementing and managing pricing policies, tools, systems, metrics, and performance management systems that drive ongoing performance, reinforce the pricing strategy and support overall corporate goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage pricing infrastructure of assigned product line(s) or customer segments, including the setting of retail rates, discount authority levels, and profitability guidance
• Develop and implement pricing policies that capture critical pricing decisions, steps, owners, approval levels, and exception processes
• Collaborate with Products, Sales, Services, Operations, and others across the organization to set objectives and execute on deployment of pricing models and processes that support profitable new business and retention of existing clients, including performance reporting that reinforces outcomes
• Support acquisition and migration activities as it relates to pricing
• Provide ongoing training to Sales and Service colleagues that support pricing expectations and corporate goals
• Gather, analyze, and assess competitive pricing intelligence to help make pricing and product positioning decisions
• Implement and support end to end lead to cash tools and systems to foster sound pricing decisions, perform analytics, track activities and report on performance
• Develop and support complex pricing and profitability models using large data sets and assumptions
• Present pricing models, recommendations, and outcomes to senior management in a clear, concise, and actionable format
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of pertinent information
• Set goals, manage development, and evaluate performance of direct reports
• Maintain SOX compliant processes and documentation
• Other projects and responsibilities as assigned by manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): None required; CPP a plus

Experience:
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in a similar environment, including developing and executing pricing strategies, price setting, profitability management, and financial analysis
• Minimum 2 years managerial experience
• Experience leading the implementation of strategic initiatives that require fundamental change
• Experience in a public company
• Experience in insurance or other risk-based industries a plus

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Essbase, and other analytical tools
• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft, Salesforce.com a plus
• Demonstrated understanding of pricing principles, structures, and techniques
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and facilitation skills
• Strong personal leadership and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to apply complex financial, statistical, analytical, and critical thinking principles
• Demonstrated ability to champion projects end to end with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
• Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities

WORK ENVIRONMENT/OTHER INFORMATION (Travel required, physical requirements, on-call schedules, etc.)
• Some travel required (10-25%)
• Occasional work outside of standard working hours is to be expected (0-25%)
• Work in clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting
• Noise level in the environment is usually moderate
