Senior Analyst, Security Remediation

The Security Remediation Analyst will be a member of the Information Security Operations team.  In this role, the incumbent will help manage and monitor technical security remediation efforts identified by threat intelligence, infrastructure, vulnerability, application security and GRC functions.  This position will partner with Technology, Business, and application teams to develop remediation plans for the identified vulnerabilities.  The Analyst will also present key findings, progress, and challenges to the Security and GRC teams on a regular basis and hold the various stakeholders accountable and drive remediation efforts. 
In addition, this role will manage vendor relationships and coordination of vendor activities.  Also responsible for documentation and KPI, KRI tracking.   

•    Completes the intake technical risks and vulnerabilities and plan short/long term remediation
•    Drives remediation and mitigation activities across technology, security, and business teams
•    Transforms recommendations into technical tasks and backlog items
•    Tracks projects, follow up with leaders and teams 
•    Drafts communications regarding remediation progress and KPIs
•    Analyzes disparate data to synthesize solutions that provide actionable recommendations for various vulnerabilities  
•    Manages security operational and project duties such as roll out of new tools, capabilities, and processes
•    Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.
•    Security Vendor management and coordination of events such as penetration tests, upgrades, data feeds, SLA, SLO
•    KPIs and KRIs tracking and management
•    Primary liaison between Security Operations and Technology teams
•    Project management and tracking of essential milestones and communications
•    Access management
•    Process and procedure documentation
•    Tracks security gaps identified against frameworks and/or audit assessments
•    Converts identified gaps to measurable risks and prioritizes based on risk
•    Remediations that are unable to be closed within SLA are entered as risk exceptions
•    Provides backup to the Security Operations manager for incident and event coordination as needed.  

•    Bachelor’s degree desired; or equivalent education and/or related work experience

•    Minimum of 10 years of experience with data analytics, project management, incident management

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
•    Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools
•    Strong project management skills
•    Management experience preferred
•    Solid knowledge of information security principles, web applications and a level of familiarity with malicious code and common techniques used by hackers.  
•    Ability to maintain confidentiality of information 
•    Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
•    Excellent organizational skills
•    Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually challenging business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
•    Practical knowledge of application security standards and compliance (e.g., OWASP, Sarbanes-Oxley act, HIPAA)
•    Ability to explain ideas and technical terms clearly and concisely
•    Ability to work independently to resolve issues and in a team-office environment and in remote as needed; to communicate professionally across many organizational levels and functions driving business engagement and teamwork; to effectively build rapport with stakeholders 
•    Strong knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws
•    A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
•    Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities 
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
•    Capable of conducting research utilizing intellectual curiosity and critical thinking to determine best ways to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities with no impact on production environment
