Job Summary/Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for efficiently providing detailed analytical support to senior management to improve business performance. The person in this position provides financial and operational analytics, budgeting and forecasting, trend analysis, business insights, qualitative assessment of risks and opportunities, and recommendations based on advanced financial analysis.

Essentials Duties/Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to assigned areas of the business.
- Report on actual financial and operational performance against targets and provide variance analysis and guidance on future trends.
- Ensure key business performance risks, issues, and opportunities are highlighted to management.
- Prepare robust and meaningful budgets and forecasts, integrated with core business strategy, targets, and processes.
- Act as an advocate and role model for understanding revenue, cost and profitability drivers – both at a corporate and client level.
- Drive processes to improve efficiencies and reduce time spent on low-value activities so that more time can be spent creating value for business partners and ultimately, shareholders.
- Generate insight and drive outcomes by challenging assumptions, scoping and framing problems, and analyzing and delivering solutions.
- Influence strong cross-functional communications and enhance efficiencies by leading teams through process improvement efforts.
- Actively engage in the ongoing improvement of TriNet’s financial, planning and business intelligence systems.
- Provide support to other Finance departments and functions, such as Accounting, during month end close and external audits.
- Perform ad-hoc projects, analytics and provide recommendations as identified by management team.

Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): None

Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in in a similar environment, directly supporting senior management (both financial and operational management)
- Experience defining and communicating requirements for finance processes and working with developers to implement and update financial applications
- Experience in Public company

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications: Advanced in Excel, Intermediate in PowerPoint, and Basic in Word
- Strong knowledge of Essbase, Hyperion Planning, PeopleSoft Financials preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and facilitation skills
- Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent collaborative partnering work style
- Customer-focused
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities

Work Environment/Other Information (Travel required, psychical requirements, on-call schedules, etc.)
- Some travel required (5-25%)
- Overtime as required (0-25 hours per month)
- Work in clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting
- Noise level in the environment is usually moderate
