JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW
The Senior Business Systems Analyst will play a key role in our ERP implementation project. The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the  business and system requirements for technology solutions and works directly with individuals from various functions and levels within the organization. The Senior Business Analyst is considered the  functional expert of our current state and to-be Financial systems and provides subject matter expertise and thought leadership over these functions..

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates and contributes in ERP design workshops
•    Collaborates with the project team members and business users to capture requirements and defines solution options for the needs of the business. 
• Identifies gaps and workarounds where requirements can be met without custom development, and assists in the determination of the justification for investment where needed.
• Reviews and provides input on functional design specifications, system requirements and acceptance criteria such as user interfaces, reports, data conversions, interfaces to other applications, exception handling, security and other non-functional requirements
• Collaborates with business users to prepare test cases and scenarios
• Identifies and documents business scenarios for testing, validates the system functions as intended and establishes the most appropriate response to defects.
• Supports data mapping from existing system to future ERP
• Performs data cleanup, extraction, validation, conversion and reconciliation
• Assists in the preparation and execution of deployment/cutover plans and training to the business users and support teams
• Provides issue resolution post go-live
• Provides leadership and mentoring to other members of the team
• Other responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, business administration or related field.
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):
• One of the following - Certification of Competency in Business Analysis™ (CCBATM), Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP™) desired but not required.

Experience:
• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a System Analyst role in the information technology field or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project lead role working with ERP Financials and/or HR or other comparable systems in financial or payroll related disciplines (e.g. SAP, etc...)

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Very strong analytical and problem solving skills including knowledge of math, logic, programming
• Ability to explain ideas and technical terms clearly and concisely
• Skilled facilitator capable of planning and running requirements workshops across diverse cross-functional teams that may be in remote locations
• Able to do basic data analysis by writing basic queries in query tools such as PS Query Manager, SQL/SQL*Plus, Toad, SQL Navigator
• Working knowledge of security

• In depth understanding of software development process stages and key activities
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Project management skills

• Minimum Travel Required. Travel limited projects.
