JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW:
TriNet is looking for an innovative problem solver to join our SOX Advisory team. The ideal candidate will be able to partner with control owners to identify opportunities to optimize the IT SOX environment and take the SOX program to the next level. S/he will also be responsible for identifying on-going efficiencies in controls, serving as an advisor on cross-functional project teams implementing new processes or automating current SOX processes. Additionally, this person will serve as a knowledge expert for management in dealing with internal audit and external auditors during testing and remediation of the SOX environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Partner with management and provide thought leadership in developing and delivering streamlining and automating of the current SOX environment.
• Exercise sound judgment and encouraged to make clear decisions on project issues.
• Share related best practices and communicate at functional and corporate levels.
• Participate on cross-functional process and IT system design teams to ensure SOX controls are built into and automated throughout in-scope processes.
• Have a demonstrated capacity to identify and implement on-going efficiencies in controls and remediation.
• Support the management assessment process for SOX controls, including the identification of weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide a risk-based evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of the company’s SOX controls.
• Participate in other special projects such as; risk assessments, liaising with external auditors to represent management’s view of the control environment, system implementations and upgrades.
• Understanding of SOX 404 and 302, COSO 2013 and various risk assessment practices.
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BA/BS in accounting, finance, MIS or other relevant degree.
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):
CPA, CIA, CISA, CRISC, CFE or equivalent preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of prior relevant experience. Big 4 or Industry experience preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to acquire new skills and apply these in challenging environments;
• Solid understanding of COSO 2013, SOX 302, and 404 with a focus on the IT aspects of SOX;
• Some Lean, Six Sigma experience would be desirable;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present to peers;
• Experience in performing multiple projects and working with varying team members;
• Technology Knowledge – PeopleSoft and Oracle preferred;
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Strong analysis and design skills;
• Experience in process re-engineering is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/OTHER INFORMATION (Travel required, physical requirements, on-call schedules, etc.):
• Travel to other office locations (NV, NY, SC, FL.), Approx. 10-20%
