The Intern, Expense Accounting reports to OPEX Accounting– Senior Supervisor, and is responsible for assisting with OPEX, Accounts Payable, and Commissions. This individual will play a role in preparing the monthly financial close, processing accounts payables, and processing monthly commissions payments. Additionally, the individual will ensure timely and accurate compliance with SOX controls and will assist in various projects to ensure a broad experience of multiple accounting functions. 

•    Preparation of monthly journal entries.
•    Preparation of monthly reconciliations.
•    Prepare workpapers to support compliance with SOX. 
•    Provide audit support as needed  
•    Provide support for projects and initiatives, regarding process improvements toward scalability
•    Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.

Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics.
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): N/A
•    Previous Accounting/Finance experience a plus

•    Good verbal, written communication, presentation and facilitation skills
•    Good analytical, organizational, and time management skills. 
•    Good multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt to change
•    Good work ethic and high degree of accuracy and integrity in work product

•    Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities 
•    Strong desire to continuously learn, continuously improve and pursue open questions to a conclusion
•    Ability to develop working relationships
•    Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite
