JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW
The UI Developer will be working with the Enterprise Information Systems team to maintain and develop reporting solutions to support our Analytics platform. The candidate must combine the art of design with the art of programing while understanding the business and technical requirements and translate this into web portal designs and deliverables. Responsibilities will include UI/UX design wireframes including translation to actual code to produce visual elements of the application. You will work with management to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides while defining how the application looks and works. The solutions must align with web standards and guidelines and other reporting and BI solutions. The position also requires supporting the SDLC process in terms of testing, deployment, and post production support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead server-side software engineering practices / SOLID principles
• Perform the lead technical role in designing and implementing practical, maintainable project solutions
• Define and implement organizational engineering best practices
• Ensure a consistent focus on quality for the entire project
• Perform code reviews; developing and adhering to coding standards
• Stay current with emerging technologies and techniques
• Stay current with rapidly changing web standards
• Drive the adoption of emerging technologies
• Mentor team members
• Work with other departments to ensure high quality and timely delivery

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent education and/or related work experience.

Experience:
• Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of web programming and architecture experience. Candidate will have extensive experience with the design and development of web based applications and enterprise integrations as they will be ultimately responsible for the success of both the technical and functional aspects of the project. Candidate must possess a proven history of success as a technical team leader. Candidate must have excellent time management and communication skills as they will need to communicate with both a technical and non-technical audience. Candidate also must have willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have 5+ years of Java Programming
• Must have 3+ years with Spring Framework (or similar)
• Must have demonstrated proficiency with object oriented methodologies
• Proficient with source-control tools and practices such as Bitbucket/STASH and Gitflow
• Must have work experience with Agile practices (Scrum Methodology)
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficient with RESTful, messaging, circuit breaker and microservice designs/patterns/architectures/methodologies
• Proficient with web server technologies (Tomcat, Weblogic or similar)
• Proficient with design and architecture documentation
• Experience with various database concepts and systems (Oracle, MongoDB, Redis)
• Experience with messaging technologies (RabbitMQ, MSMQ or similar)

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence tools and other collaboration tools a plus
• Good Team Player
