Job Summary/Overview
The primary objectives of the Executive Director of Supply Chain and procurement are to develop a strategic approach for the enterprise procurement management process to purchase direct and indirect product and services. This role will have significant impact on TriNet’s business and its project delivery through deep collaboration with our internal business partners to develop and implement effective and efficient sourcing processes while improving service delivery, quality, compliance, and costs. It requires expertise in strategy development and execution, supplier assessment and selection, strong negotiation skills in complex negotiations, and the proven ability to build and develop influential teams and is comfortable challenging status quo to drive change.

The role leads the development and improvement of strategies and processes for the following functional areas: purchasing, procurement, supplier quality, divisional strategic sourcing, and supplier performance. This functional leader works closely with key functional stakeholders such as Information technology and systems, payroll operations, Finance, Sales and Marketing partners in a collaborative fashion to achieve targeted performance levels. This position will also work closely with corporate support groups (e.g. Trade Compliance, Logistics, Legal, etc.) to ensure effective execution of supply chain business processes in support of divisional objectives

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
• Build and develop a strong and influential procurement team
• Develop and communicate a procurement business plan; establish, communicate and implement long-term goals for the department to promote organizational value and efficiency.
• Implement and execute procurement best practice contracting strategies utilizing appropriate tools, processes, and procedures.
• Introduce the tools for building procurement culture and organizational change among senior management team.
• Interface with corporate and business functions to define category goals
• Build strategy roadmaps as well as identify and deliver specific requirements to implement functional strategy successfully.
• Invest necessary time to develop relationships with functional leaders to fully understand and support goals and objectives leveraging procurement tools and processes.
• Establish KPI’s and measurement metrics to measure program maturity and effectiveness.
• Build and understand total cost of ownership for initiatives and business requests.
• Work closely with legal and finance and oversee contract development and administration.
• Develop and implement procurement-related training programs for the procurement team.
• Establish win-win Client/Supplier relationships

Job Requirements & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
• 6-10 years of related experience, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
• Certification in negotiations, Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management or similar strategic sourcing/procurement professional designations
• Strong technical procurement knowledge, experience in supplier planning, negotiations and contract management
• Results-oriented and solid analytical metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, supply chain, supplier collaboration, development and compliance
• Proven ability to work in a challenging environment while building, coaching and mentoring teams to meet demanding business needs
• Experience and expertise in diverse domains, such as Technology, Marketing, Real-Estate and business partnership
• Ability to build and leverage relationships both internally and externally, as well as working in a complex multi-layered corporate environment with multiple stakeholders with the ability to take strategies and gain buy-in from key stakeholders
• Proficiency in developing business cases
• Excellent financial and project management skills
