The Director, Delivery and Logistics, will manage TriNet’s entire distribution operation and manage teams in multiple locations: Memphis, Tennessee and Bradenton, Florida. This person will be responsible for oversight of the Distribution team whose primary responsibilities include printing and shipping of payroll and fulfillment packages (benefits), and for the adherence to processes and procedures to ensure the accuracy of shipments. In addition, this role will be responsible for all aspects of the colleague lifecycle, including recruiting, training and development, supervision, and evaluation of the department’s staff of approximately 25 colleagues (including 2 supervisors).

This role is responsible for driving increased efficiencies within the Distribution Team with an emphasis on exceptional service while minimizing cost expenditures and with full utilization of the appropriate services that our vendors offer. This role will be responsible for strategic planning to ensure our operational processes are current with market trends.

• Manage print distribution operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies; modifying priorities in line with changing business demands, as needed
• Drive operational improvements by monitoring, enhancing and streamlining process flows with emphasis on automation and efficiency; Provide best practice input and solicit suggestions for improvements
• Analyze print, data, and mailing for efficiency and cost reduction - negotiate lower prices for cost savings and participate in ongoing discussions with suppliers and internal departments
• Partner with Executive Director, Payroll Operations to set direction for Distribution function and implement programs to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profit
• Deep analysis of current cost base & leading initiatives to mitigate volume; Demonstrated success in previous roles
• SME on driving efficient TriNet distribution of paper docs (Sales, Marketing, Insurance, Legal etc.)
• Manage compensation, performance, staffing, employee relations, and training/development of direct reports
• Provide hands-on management of the Memphis facility as well as manage oversight of Bradenton Distribution Operations
• Liaise with management, internal departments, and vendors/suppliers to troubleshoot problems and provide innovative solutions while serving as a subject matter expert to address customer escalations and concerns
• Work cross-functionally with other TriNet colleagues to deliver superior written and verbal customer service, build cohesive interdepartmental relationships, and maintain work flow
• Develop and maintain standards of operating procedures for distribution department, ensuring processes and procedures are followed as well as accuracy goals are met; implements new procedures when warranted
• Ensure regular maintenance of all hardware: printers, postage, and folding/inserting machines; coordinate with IT to test and maintain printing capabilities
• Maintain positive relationships with third party vendors
• Monitor weekly invoice statements from vendors for correct billing
• Maintain printing and shipping supplies including fulfillment and mailroom supplies
• Facilitate the shipping of internal and external customer materials while managing cost associated with all shipping
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.

Education: Education: Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in a shipping/distribution function.

• Proven business and leadership skills through prior assignments and results delivery
• Considerable skills in process improvement/business transformation, customer service, communication, leadership, problem solving, team building, and consensus abilities
• 7-10 years of delivery and logistics experience a plus
• Working with or for large shipping vendors like FedEx. UPS, DHL, etc. is a plus
• Experience working in a HR Outsourcing/PEO environment a plus
• Experience with PeopleSoft and Salesforce CRM a plus
• Proven experience in customer service environment

• Minimal travel required
• Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
