JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW
The Associate Strategy Analyst is responsible for identifying opportunities and risks to the business and identifying and proposing strategies that will improve the overall performance and profitability of the company. The Associate Strategy Analyst will typically analyze many areas of the business with guidance from the Strategy Directors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• In specific areas of the business Identify opportunities and risks. Identify and implement solutions to the opportunities and risks that improve the company’s performance and profitability.
• With guidance from Strategy Directors to identify options for potential solutions to business risks and opportunities.
• Create analytical frameworks to evaluate different solutions to risks and opportunities.
• Use analytical techniques, for example past performance, testing, statistical modeling, and financial modeling to ground the value of different solutions.
• Areas of analysis may include credit, pricing, operations, finance, and overall business strategy.
• Identify customer’s needs and wants and build solutions that meet or exceeds them.
• Monitor performance of a business area and tests being performed in that business area. Draw insight from the monitoring to identify opportunities for business improvement.
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field strongly preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates):
• None
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, corporate development, business development, private equity, or a related field preferred.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent financial literacy, modeling, valuation and analysis skills
• Track record of delivering improved business results.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as function within a team environment.
• Effective verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results on time.
• Project and time management skills; specifically, the ability to execute project plans across diverse teams in order to successfully meet corporate objectives. A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
• Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including high proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/OTHER INFORMATION (Travel required, physical requirements, on-call schedules, etc.)
• Occasional travel required when TriNet offices reopen
• Work in clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting or full time remote / home office
