As the Area Director for the territory you will provide leadership and support to a team of Sales Directors within that region and for the sales of the entire area region. The Sales Directors you lead are focused on leading a team high-performing Sales Consultants who generate new business across several industries and ultimately increase our market share in a highly consultative value selling environment for a suite of products.

• Confer with the Regional Vice President of Sales to determine sales objectives and develop sales strategies to achieve the regional sales goals
• Motivate, inspire, lead, train, develop, direct, and evaluate a regional sales leadership team of Sales Directors who dominate the industry
• Review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules and discount rates, and develops sales campaigns.
• Influence budget planning, and prepare other reports for management, as requested
• Achieve company’s quota and further increase company’s revenue in the assigned territory
• Hire, retain and develop top talent and drive a world-class sales culture
• Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
• Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions to monitor customer, market and competitor activity to develop market dominance strategies.
• Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful regional programs
• Demonstrate a strong external focus to influence direction and build TriNet reputation in the northeast
• Foster cooperation, communication and commitment among team and across organizational boundaries
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion

• Advanced degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience is desirable

• Minimum of 10 years of sales and business development experience with a track record of achieving and exceeding your sales targets.
• Extensive leadership experience from world class large-scale to mid-sized corporate or entrepreneurial environments
• Demonstrated experience applying a strong metrics driven process towards recruiting and building a team of “A” players
• Experience selling a solution targeting the SMB market
• Experience in entrepreneurial environments, and preferably also large-scale environments
• Experience in succession planning

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
